School Development Plan
Over the past three years, Torpoint Nursery and Infant School has been on a rapid journey with everybody in our school family working tirelessly to secure improvements in our school. We have built on strengths already in place, such as strong outcomes for children, to further develop in many other areas so that our principles of ACHIEVE curriculum design are truly embedded in everyday practice and make a positive impact for every child in our school community.
We understand that within a school improvement journey, there is always work to do, and to be truly ambitious, one must never be complacent and think the job is done. Now we have reached the point where we want to embed and refine the excellence that we have worked so hard to develop by considering what really matters to our school community and what will enable positive differences to every single child.
The evaluation process, and writing ofour school development plan , was engaged in by all staff and Governors with a clear view of what makes our school special, distinctive and innovative.
The plan is an organic and working document responsive to evaluations, identified needs of the children in the school and national developments in education.
