Country Dance

We had a wonderful afternoon at our Country Dance and Summer Fair. All children danced with big smiles on their faces, we were so proud of them all! 

Hannafore Point Trip

Our Year Two children enjoyed a fantastic trip to Hannafore Point. 

Visit to Torpoint Library and Community Hub 

Our children in Reception enjoyed a visit to Torpoint Library and Community Hub. They took part in lots of under the sea themed activities, linked to their theme. 

Therapy Goats 

Our Nursery children enjoyed a visit a visit from Tavistock Therapy Goats. 

Visit from the Dental Nurses

Our Nursery and Reception children enjoyed a visit from dental nurses from Mydentist in Torpoint. 

The children learnt about the importance of looking after their teeth. 

 

Purple Up Day

Our Forces Friends celebrating Month of the Military Child for Purple Up Day. 

School Council trip to the Council Chambers

Our School Council had a fantastic afternoon at the Council Chambers. The children asked many thoughtful questions about the role of the Mayor and the Town Council. . 

Commonwealth Day 

Our School Council were invited to Sparrow Park to raise the flag for Commonwealth Day. They were fantastic representatives of the school. 

World Book Day 2026

We celebrated the magic of reading and books on World Book Day.

A Very Royal Tea Party

Our Year One children had a fantastic start to their learning at their very royal tea party!

 Year Two Pirate Day 

Our Year Two pirates had a fantastic start to their Pirate theme with a Pirate Party and a trip to Torpoint Library and Community Hub.

Winter Sports Week 

Our children have had lots of fun during Winter Sports Week. They tried some sports and activities that they have never tried before and all children demonstrated amazing team work, sportsmanship and resilience throughout the week. 

National Storytelling Week

To celebrate National Story Telling Week, we spoke about the magic and joy of sharing stories. Mrs Kellond read her favourite stories to the children in nursery and school and the children also enjoyed learning which stories were favourites of our teachers and TAs.

Year Two trip to the Tamar Bridge Visitor Centre

Our Year Two children enjoyed a trip to the Tamar Bridge Visitor Centre as part of their 'engineering' theme. 

Year One Trip to the Fire Station 

As part of their learning about the Great Fire of London, Year One enjoyed a trip to Torpoint Fire Station. 

Christmas Shows!

Our children sang and performed beautifully in their Christmas performances.

Trip to the Torpoint Ferry 

Our Year One children enjoyed a trip to the Torpoint Ferry. 

Singing at Tamara Care Home 

Our Year Two children brang some Christmas cheer to the residents of Tamara Care Home by singing some of our favourtie Christmas songs. 

Singing at the Christmas Light Switch On

Our Year Two children sang beautifully at the Torpint Christmas Light Switch On. 

Tractor Visit 

Children in Reception enjoyed a visit from farmer Sarah and William from Agrigola Growers as part of their theme all about the farm.

Children in Need

Children enjoyed taking part in lots of fun challenges for this year's Children in Need. Thank you to our families for helping us to raise a fantastic £179.

Remembrance 

Our Forces Friends were fantastic representatives of our school at Torpoint's Remembrance Service and Parade.

Luna's Fund

On Friday 10th October, we wore items of purple, pink or blue clothing to raise money for Luna’s Fund, a local baby loss and pregnancy after loss charity, based in Plymouth. This charity provides practical and emotional support to bereaved and expectant parents.  Luna’s Mum is a former pupil of TNIS and so it is with great pleasure that we took part in this fundraising event.

Visit to St James' Church 

Our Year One children enjoyed a visit to St James' Church as part of their RE curriculum. 

Harvest Festival 

In our Harvest Festival assembly, we gave thanks for the food that we have and gave a large donation of foods to the Liskeard and Looe Foodbank. Thank you to everyone for your kind donations.  

We Always Try Our Best! 

We have started the year by thinking about the importance of always trying our best and never giving up. Here are our Year One and Two children singing a song which fits perfectly with this theme.

Eco Club 

Our Eco Club have been elected for this academic year. They will help to make very important decisions about ways in which we can make positive choices in school which will help to protect our planet. 

School Council

Lunch with Mrs Kellond

Every Friday, a group of children who have shown that they have tried their very best with their learning will get to enjoy lunch with Mrs Kellond. This is a fantastic way to celebrate all of the wonderful things our children achieve in school each week.
