This term the children in Year 2 are learning about ‘under the sea’ and reading the story of The Rainbow Fish. 

Have a look at some of the things we will be learning. 

English: Writing a diary for the Rainbow Fish using adjectives to describe the wonderful animals under the sea. 

Maths: Developing our knowledge of place value, addition and subtraction. 

RE: Learning about the Jewish religion and artefacts that can be found in a synagogue. 

Art: Using primary and secondary colours and a range of media to create beautiful ‘under the sea’ artwork.

Science: Learning about a range of habitats and food chains. 

Music: Creating a soundtrack with our friends to represent different animals found under the sea. 

PE: Using dance to tell a story about Rainbow Fish and his friends. 

Jigsaw: Looking at our hopes and dreams for the year ahead.
