This term the children in Year One will be learning all about Elmer.

Here are some of things that we will be learning:

English- using adjectives to write a riddle about an African animal

Maths- recognising teen numbers, identifying 2D shapes and ordering days of the week.

Science- learning about seasonal change

Music- exploring copycat rhythm patterns and using graphic notation

Art- exploring primary and secondary colours to create our own patterned elephant

RE- learning about parables and features of the church.

Computing- learning how to stay safe online and being introduced to Purple Mash

PE- learning how to throw and catch, travel in different and apply into a game of Dodgeball

Jigsaw- Being me in my world
